Because each toddler is unique, there is no set age for toilet training. Potty training begins when your child can manage their bladder and bottom muscles. Usually, these muscles mature between 18 and 36 months. Around this time, you may notice you’ve been changing fewer diapers and that your child is dry during naptime. These, along with other indicators, suggest that it’s probably time to start potty training. If things are taking a long time, don’t get frustrated. Potty training can take a year or more.
