Meet Dr Anisa Vahed

Once upon a time, in the beautiful landscapes of South Africa, Dr Anisa Vahed embarked on a remarkable journey. She began her academic tale at Stellenbosch University, where she was awarded her medical degree in 2009. Her quest for understanding didn’t stop there; she further adorned her academic cap with a Diploma in Child Health from The Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and became a brave paediatric and neonatal care warrior, earning Advanced Life Support certificates.

In 2019, Dr Vahed turned a significant page in her career by specialising in Paediatrics and Child Health through the University of Cape Town. She spent countless hours in the hallowed halls of the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, the vibrant Groote Schuur Hospital Neonatal Unit, and the caring environs of New Somerset Hospital, dedicating her days and nights to the well-being of the youngest citizens of our world.

However, the essence of Dr Vahed’s story is woven not just with the threads of professional achievements. As a mother of two wonderful children, she understands the chapters of joy and challenges that come with parenting. Her passion for paediatrics is deeply personal, driven by a desire to guide young families as they navigate the early stages of parenthood, equipping them with well-researched knowledge amidst the overwhelming sea of information.
